The results of the 2017 SBS National Languages Competition are out! Four winners across the country from four age categories were awarded at a ceremony at SBS yesterday, with special guests including the Senator the Hon. Simon Birmingham, Minister for Education and Training, and competition judge and famed Eurovision singer Isaiah.

SSI and Allianz Jointly Offer Scholarships for Refugees

SSI and Allianz are offering scholarships for people from refugee backgrounds as they participate in the NSW education system. This includes secondary school, Vocational Education and Training (VET) and qualifications recognition in an effort to minimise the financial barriers experienced by refugees.

Small Grants Available for Organisations Supporting LGBTIQ

Aurora’s Small Grants funding (2017-18) is now open for applications to organisations that undertake projects to support and benefit LGBTIQ across NSW. Up to $7,500 each, the grants will be awarded to innovative programs that cover a broad range of areas with a focus on inclusion in our community.

Make Healthy Normal resources are now available on the campaign website in four languages: Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional, Arabic, and Vietnamese. The in-language resources are designed to suit audience from different cultural backgrounds and have tailored information and tips on healthy living and eating.
