The Way Out West Festival, also named WOW Festival, kicks off at Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre today! Launched in 2011, the festival is committed to providing creative opportunities for kids in Western Sydney which has the highest population of children in NSW. Western Sydney is one of the most diverse areas of NSW with a large population originally coming from countries where English a second language.
Besides a series of carefully curated programs, this festival engages with kids and families in a very unique way – a group of little WOW reporters will be roaming the festival events with a camera, microphone, pen, and notepads, presenting the festival through their lens.
The festival ends this Saturday. Take your family, get immersed in the art world, and cultivate young minds!
