The Global Table is a food festival that recognises and celebrates the diversity and range of food that we in Australia enjoy, right in our own backyard. Nothing soothes you better than a really authentic meal of your home country culture, so what better way to cure any homesick feelings or to share food from your culture with friends.
The outdoor feast will be held on a 35-metre long communal dining table for everyone to enjoy. As a Chinese national living in Australia, my homesickness is always involved with Chinese food, family and friends back home. Luckily, Australia doesn’t lack well-made, authentic Chinese food and festivals which I can always rely on to significantly reduced my sentimental homesickness. Lock this event in your diary, bring your friends get ready to share a plate or two with some new ones!
