March is shaping up to be a multicultural month with various festivals dedicated to acknowledging and celebrating cultural diversity in Australia. This weekend will see the grand opening of the annual multicultural festival – Parramasala. The festival originally began with a focus on Indian culture but has since is evolved to be one of the largest multicultural festival in Sydney.

Parramasala will open this Friday night with the launch of its new mascot created by ceramic artist Vipoo Srivilasa, Masala market, a night parade, outdoor live music shows, and a theatre performance.
