Research by overseas education experts suggest that Australia has experienced a phase of innovation that has allowed it to remain competitive in attracting international students.
Australia is particularly popular with Indian students, with numbers steadily increasing over the past few years. Figures from the Australian Government Department of Education and Training show that as of July 2016, there are 67,279 Indian students studying in the country.
Financing to undertake study, research and professional development has become more obtainable with the availability of scholarships, fellowships and grants. This has meant Australia has remained competitive, attractive and accessible to international markets, and allowed for students to pursue opportunities in a range of different academic programmes.
