Our work on the COVID-19 vaccination hesitancy campaign and more general COVID awareness has been significant and multifaceted. We have been producing regular packs of information bringing together multilingual resources on current issues and concerns around COVID-19; targeting communications to residential age care workers around vaccination requirements; and developing a number of Extension strategies for specific communities.
In each of these activities we have worked closely with CALD communities to focus the messaging, support the distribution, and champion the individual resources.
One piece that we are particularly proud of is our collaboration with Pasifika communities to produce a video encouraging vaccination in the Samoan community.
In undertaking this important work we need to recognise and congratulate the many government communications activities across jurisdictions and most importantly the efforts and involvement of CALD community leaders and organisations in promoting COVID safe practice and most recently the importance of vaccination.
