Seven organisations and one individual were announced the winners of the 2017 Australia Post One Netball Community Awards today for their outstanding work in creating a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment through the game of netball.
Sitting on the Advisory Group of Netball Australia, Mr. Pino Migliorino AM, also Managing Director of Cultural Perspectives Group, commented: “I congratulate all winners for their efforts in connecting multicultural communities through sports. Diversity and inclusion in sport at all levels in Australia is so important as it sets opportunities within the community for individuals to participate and these opportunities actually have broader positive results, like binding communities together.”
Now in its fourth year, the Australia Post One Netball Community Awards celebrate those who go above and beyond to ensure everyone, regardless of background, skill or ability, is welcome in netball.
