Bigger and better, the Childers Festival is back at south west of Bundaberg this weekend with five stages of entertainment and over 400 stalls of world cuisine from the globe. Always held in the last weekend of July, the festival is one of signature multicultural events in Queensland, attracting a crowd of over 5000 people each year.
Over the past few years, Bundaberg has enjoyed an increase in its diversity in demographics, jumping from 12% of its population coming from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds to 14%, according to the 2016 ABS Census.
Look forward to this year’s festival that will reflect a greater cultural diversity of Bundaberg!
